“Oops, I did it again” was what a British woman allegedly said to her accomplice after bragging about killing eight people. The woman, 31-year-old Joanna Dennehy pled guilty to the killing of three men and the attempted murder of 2 others.
Dennehy and her two accomplices Mark Lloyd, 36, and Gary Richards, 47, allegedly drove around looking for random dog walkers to attack. Then the trio pulled over where Dennehy proceeded to “…strike him like in the film psycho”. Her murderous spree began last year when she killed her landlord followed by two other random men. According to court documents, Dennehy stabbed the three men directly in their heart before discarding their bodies in ditches throughout a part of England.
According to testimony from friend Georgina Page, the woman though of her and Richards as a modern day Bonnie and Clyde, and was elated with joy when she heard about the killings on the news.
With Dennehy awaiting sentencing, the trials of the other two men are now underway. Richards has pleaded not guilty to charges of preventing a decent burial and two counts of attempted murder for the attacks on the dog walkers. Lloyd, while receiving lesser charges of preventing a decent burial and perverting the course of justice, has also pleaded not-guilty. He stated emphatically that he was lured in by Dennehy who pretended to flirt with him. Once he was in the car she admitted to the killing of 3 men in March of 2003 at which point Lloyd was forced to participate in what she called her “fun”.
However, new photos released during the trial reveal the three posing in a series of pictures taken right before the attacks, which paints a starkly different picture. The photos, which include a “selfie” of Dennehy snapped minutes before one attack, displayed the three in various poses. In all her pictures Joanna held a large knife.
