Police in Tuscaloosa have confirmed that there is now an internal investigation involving the police officers who responded to a college noise complaint a the University of Alabama. This started after videos were posted to Youtube show the police officers dragging three people out their apartment along with striking one with a club and stunning one with a stun gun.

On Saturday, Police responded to a noise complaint at the Sigma Chi Fraternity where the students argued with the police entering the home without a warrant. The police then entered the apartment and arrested two students. Students taped the officers using a baton and a stun gun residents of the apartment. In one video, someone in the apartment says, “I’m glad this is all on video.” The officer responds, “I don’t give a shit.” Police are also heard saying, “Shut your fucking mouth” in another video.
Two University of Alabama students were arrested and charged with harassment, obstruction, resisting arrest.
Yes the kids are wrong. Police can go into a house without a warrant. And yes the kids are being rude. But that does not allow the police to savagely beat the students. These “officers” should face criminal charges.
This was not a mob scene. This was college students acting and arguing like college students. The assault on the students was criminal.
