A student at a small Catholic college, Holy Cross, in Worcester will be arraigned on charges of threatening to shoot out a movie theater. Gregory Hamalian, 21, a student at the school posted threats on social media. According to the Worcester County District Attorney Hamalian wanted to shoot it up at a Massachusetts theater.
Hamalian will be charged with terroristic threats along with other counts of threatening to commit a crime. He was arrested by the Massachusetts State Police and will be arraigned on the Worcester District Court.
Holy Cross is an excellent school with very strict admissions criteria. Yet threats to commit a crime are taken seriously in Massachusetts especially now after the mass shootings in Colorado and Newtown.
