A former standout athlete from Cohasset was charged in Quincy District Court with stealing from an 80 year old woman that suffers from Alzheimer’s. Paul McCaw was released after he posted a $1500 cash bail to charges of unarmed robbery, larceny and attempt to commit a crime.
McCaw, a Hobart College student and member of the school’s football team played both lacrosse and football at Cohasset High. He has since taken a leave of absence from the college.
McCaw is accused of breaking into the home of an 80 year old woman four times beginning on January 15 in Cohasset. He is accused of taking small amounts of money and the woman’s debit card. He tried to withdraw cash 65 times but did not have the PIN.
His lawyer states that McCaw is addicted to drugs and needs help.
