Alexander Brewer, a former Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles employee has been arrested for allegedly making fake driver’s license. Brewer, 24, of Revere allegedly charged people $300 to make fake licenses to people that used Puerto Rican paperwork. Brewer is said to have done this over 200 times from December of 2011 until his recent arrest.
Brewer faces up to five years in federal prison if he is convicted of the charge of defrauding the United States. He was caught by agents in the Homeland Security Department. Brewer will be charged in federal court in Boston. It is believed that two other people were also involved in the scam.
This is not the first time that a Massachusetts Registry employee has been charged with helping illegals get drivers licenses. Brewer is going to face a harsh sentence with a United States Attorney that has proven to be strict in her prosecution of recent crimes.
