Jason Willard a Massachusetts State Police Trooper has been relieved of his badge and gun after being indicted on what has been called a “deeply distrurbing” sex case. Trooper Willard a ten veteran of the Massachusetts State police is stationed at the Sturbridge barracks.
The alleged incident for which Trooper Willard has been indicted on occurred approximately 4 years ago. He is scheduled to be arraigned on charges of open and gross lewdness, and indecent assault and battery. According to news reports the alleged victim was 18 years old the time and the trooper was 34 years old.
The charges the trooper face are quite severe. The case has been indicted meaning that he may serve a state prison sentence. Even though he is yet to be convicted the State Police took appropriate action in taking someone accused of such crimes off the street.
