Targeted were those who were actively looking to have sex with strangers for money. The investigators would then arrange meetings with these “Johns” and arrest them. Apparently, Mr. Crisp had expressed an interest in sex for payment on one of these websites. Mr. Crisp was contacted by an investigator through one of these websites and a meeting was arranged. Unbeknownst to Mr. Crisp, it was an undercover officer that arrived at the meeting site. Deputies have not disclosed this location. Once Mr. Crisp arrived and confirmed his intention of exchanging cash for sex, the arrest was made. Conviction on the solicitation charge could result in jail time or fine.
