When Vivencia Bellegarde was stopped by a Massachusetts State Trooper following her involvement in a horrific crash that sent a Boston Globe truck driver to the hospital with multiple injuries including a broken vertebrae she allegedly threatened the trooper with a voodoo curse.
Bellegrade is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash that sent Paul Healy truck off the road. Bellegrade hit the Boston Globe truck on rt 93 in Boston. When state troopers arrived Bellegrade stated she had left a party and had two drinks but was fine to drive.
Bellegrade a Haitian immigrant she then stated that she planned a voodoo curse on the arresting trooper, who she called a racist. Bellegrade has been charged with OUI casusing serious bodily injury in the Boston Municipal Court. She has been held on $10,000 cash bail.
When Trooper William Kokocinski told her she would not be able to smoke, Bellegarde called Kokocinski racist, told him that she was from Haiti, and said she planned to “voodoo” him, the report said.
If convicted of the most serious OUI offense Bellegrade faces a mandatory minimum sentence in jail.
