A judge in South Florida issued an arrest warrant against former New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Johnson. Johnson, was also known as Chad Ochocinco, was placed on probation for one year after a incident involving domestic violence with his then wife. In addition to the one year of probation, Johnson was required to complete a certain amount of counseling.
In August of 2012, Johnson was involved in an altercation with his reality tv star wife Evelyn Lozada where he admitted to head butting her.
The arrest warrant was issued by the judge after Johnson failed to report to his probation officer. A warrant allows polic officers to arrest Johnson on sight.
If probation feels that Johnson is not complying with his terms and conditions of probation then they may ask a judge to revoke his probation and sentence him to jail. On the other hand, if this is in fact a misunderstanding probation could also ask to withdraw any motions to the judge.
