A Randolph man has been arrested twice within hours of each other for trying to steal a motorcycle and for an attempted robbery, police said.
According to the Braintree Police Mr. Roy Triolo was seen by a business owner trying to steal a motorcycle form a local business. Police arrived to find Mr. Triolo hiding nearby. Once arrested it was learned that he an outstanding arrest warrant. During the attempted theft Mr. Triolo damaged the bike.
He was charged with attempting to commit a crime, possession of burglar’s stools, and malicious destruction of property.
At the police station, Jenkins said officers recovered 40 Clonazepam pills from Triolo, and he was additionally charged with possession of a Class C substance.
After three hours Triolo had been released on bail, officers were called to Weymouth Landing to investigate a reported car burglary.
When Patrol Officers arrived, they found three men holding down a fourth man. The officers recognized the man being held down as Triolo.
Triolo, wearing a ski mask, had attempted to rob Ultimate Pizza on Commercial Street with a large kitchen knife, Jenkins said.
The pizza shop owner told police “he armed himself with a large pizza knife and chased Triolo from the shop,” Jenkins said. “A regular patron of the shop assisted in the apprehension and a third party jumped in as the men briefly struggled with Triolo.”
He was arrested a second time on a charge of assault to rob while armed.
Mr. Trilio was ultimately held at the station until Quincy District Court opened on Monday morning.
