Recent Wins Driving Cases

Driving case won by Massachusetts Criminal Lawyer Patrick Donovan. All cases are summaries of real cases handled by Attorney Patrick Donovan. Attorney Donovan has achieved great results for clients charged with all types of driving crimes including; negligent operation, reckless operation, operating after license suspension, attaching wrong plates, and driving without insurance. Attorney Donovan uses the skills taught to him as a prosecutor to get the best result for each of his clients. If you or someone you know has been charged with a Massachusetts Driving Crime call Patrick Donovan today for a free no-obligation consultation.

Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle- The client was stopped by a State trooper on the Mass Pike for passing his cruiser at high speed. The client was also driving a pick-up truck with the bed fill with many different items. Also, the trooper observed the client changing lanes and not signaling. The client was issued a criminal citation for reckless operation. Attorney Donovan’s investigation revealed the citation was not returned to the court timely. Because of that prosecutor dismissed the case prior to the arraignment.

The client was charged with operating to endanger in violation MGL c 90 s 24, after police were called by several neighbors that the client and another car were racing through and quiet neighborhood. Police called the client and he confessed to driving his car on that road. Police threatened to arrest my client yet decided to summons him for a clerk magistrates hearing. After much arguing, the clerk decided to not issue the complaint. CASE DISMISSED.

The client was cited for driving to endanger after a Massachusetts state trooper saw him driving his motorcycle over 105 mph in a 55 mph zone. The case was dismissed on the payment of court costs and he was found not responsible for the civil offenses.

The client gets a notice to appear at a show cause hearing or clerks hearing in the Quincy District Court. The client had been stopped for driving without a valid license and driving a car without insurance that was unregistered. Attorney Donovan persuades the clerk not to issue the charges and not assess any costs.

The client is charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle after his car crashes through a restaurant. The client was doing “donuts” in a restaurant parking lot and lost control of his car. He ended up crashing through a restaurant that was closed at the time.
CASE DISMISSED
