Boston Municipal Court 

Possession of a Fake ID

Then Client a sophomore at a college in Boston was in a restaurant drinking alcohol when two Boston Police officers asked for everyone’s identification. Then the client showed the officer his friend’s id. The client later admitted it was not him. Both the client and friend were summoned to the Boston Municipal Court for a show cause hearing. Attorney Donovan successfully argued against the charges being issued. As a result, both the client and friend have NO CRIMINAL RECORD. 

Concord District Court 

Possession of a Fake ID

Client a 20-year-old Tufts University student attempted to buy booze at a liquor store. When he gave his ID to the clerk the clerk checked with the police officer who was working a detail in the store. The police officer checked the information and learned the ID was fake. Client was summonsed to a Magistrates Hearing. Attorney Donovan argued on his behalf of him and ultimately the clerk decided not to issue the criminal charges.

Brighton District Court 

Possession of a False Identification 

Client a sophomore at Boston College used a fake id in a Brighton bar. He was served alcohol by the bar. Police officers came to the bar and checked everyone’s id. Then he admitted to police that the id he used was fake. He was summonsed to the Brighton District Court for a clerk magistrate’s hearing. THE COMPLAINT DID NOT ISSUE. Client still has no criminal record.

Brighton District Court

Disorderly Conduct/ Resisting Arrest/ False ID

Client is extremely intoxicated and attempted to enter a college building. Client becomes very belligerent and the police are called. Client then continues to give the police a very hard time. Eventually, the client gives his wallet to the police and it contains his fake id. Client is an international student and any conviction could impact his immigration status. Attorney Donovan negotiated with the Assistant District Attorney and the ADA agreed to dismiss the case on the payment of $200. CASE DISMISSED

Boston Municipal Court

Client, a 19-year college student went to a bar to celebrate the Patriots Super Bowl Parade. While at the bar two Boston Police Officers asked her for her id. She handed them her sisters ID. The police officers immediately knew it was not her. She admitted that it was not her and told them her sister gave her the license. The police then charged her and her sister for possessing a fake id. The case was heard before a clerk in the Boston Municipal Court. Attorney Donovan argued why the clerk should not issue the charge. The clerk agreed and did not issue the criminal charge.

Plymouth District Court

Client a twenty-year-old college student tried to get into a bar in downtown Plymouth. The bouncer knew the client had a fake id and told the police officer that was also working at the bar. The police officer then approached the client and took her id from her. He then sent her a summons for a clerks hearing. Attorney Donovan argued that the clerk should not issue the charge and the clerk agreed to dismiss the complaint.
