Despite having no prior criminal record and offering no justification for her actions, she underwent a show cause hearing before the clerk magistrate. Attorney Donovan effectively presented arguments to prevent the issuance of a formal complaint.

Woburn District Court

The client stands accused of committing a felony, specifically Larceny Over $250, following their observed act of taking merchandise from a store in the Burlington Mall. Cambridge District Court

The client, an 18-year-old high school student, was accused of shoplifting from a store in Cambridge. The store owner, filled with rage, attended the Clerks Magistrates’ Hearing and insisted on pressing charges against the client in order to give them a criminal record. However, Attorney Donovan effectively argued against the issuance of criminal charges by the clerk. Consequently, the client does not have a criminal record.

Quincy District Court

The client, a medical doctor seeking employment, attempted to return merchandise at a nearby Walmart that she had not purchased. She openly confessed her involvement in the shoplifting incident to the loss prevention officers. However, the charges against her were ultimately dropped.

Quincy District Court

A Doctor, who is in their middle age, was accused of shoplifting by asportation following their apprehension for stealing at a nearby supermarket. The client placed high-value batteries in their pocket while inside the store and subsequently exited without paying. Later on, the client confessed to the authorities regarding their actions. During a show cause hearing, Attorney Donovan effectively presented an argument resulting in the dismissal of the charges by the clerk.

Hingham District Court

The client entered Whole Foods Market and filled her cart with items valued at over $300. Instead of going through the cashiers, she left the store. However, in the parking lot, she was intercepted while placing the stolen items in her car. The client admitted to the theft when questioned by the loss prevention officers. Initially, she was summoned to an arraignment, but Attorney Donovan successfully had the case sent back to the clerk’s office for a show cause hearing.
