Vincent Fazzone, a lawyer based out of Uncasville, Connecticut, was cited for drug possession after an approximate two-ounce bag of marijuana fell out of his back pocket while he was with a client in a New London courtroom.
According to one of Fazzone’s staff, paralegal, Holly McGregor, the lawyer had met with a client earlier in the day who gave him the bag of marijuana. The woman indicated that it was her son’s and asked that Fazzone speak with him.
Fazzone agreed to talk to the boy later in the day, with the apparent intervention an attempt to scare the boy away from further use of drugs. He then placed the bag in his back pocket and soon forgot about it.
McGregor then said that during his court hearing, Fazzone got up with his client, which is when the bag fell from his pocket. A marshal inside the courtroom noticed the bag fall out and told Fazzone, “When you’re done speaking with your client, we need to talk to you.”
An upset Fazzone later expressed embarrassment over the incident and stated that he doesn’t use marijuana.
Fazzone focuses his practice on criminal defense, which includes all misdemeanors and felonies, traffic citations and charges related to DWI or OUI. He also handles personal injury cases, which include motor vehicle and workplace accidents, assaults, dog bites and slip and fall injuries.
