Twenty-three year old Matthew Oliver saw his own photo on the page with the words “active warrant” for suspected robbery charges. Instead of turning himself in, Oliver took to the comments section to defend himself.
Among a number of swears and insults, Oliver claimed the County would “be held responsible,” and even offered an alibi. Oliver maintained that he had been in the hospital during the supposed crime due to an injury sustained during an MMA fight.
Oliver was arrested two days later without resistance. A representative for the Facebook page said that while the page had led to other arrests, this was the first time a suspect in question had engaged with the photo of himself or herself.
